Description:
This is the basic recipe to make crepe. You can use it for preparing a dessert or for a main meal, filling with cheese or chicken, etc.
Directions
Measure all ingredients in to blender jar; blend for 30 seconds. Scrape down sides. Blend for 15 seconds more. Cover and let sit for 1 hour. (This helps the flour absorb more of the liquids.) Heat a crepe pan or a simple nonstick pan. Add one tablespoon of butter into the pan. Tilt pan to spread butter. Add one big spoon of your crepe mixture and tilt the pan to spread. Once crepe has lots of little bubbles, loosen any edges with spatula. Flip crepe over. This side cooks quickly. Slide crepe from pan to plate. Add, again, one tablespoon of butter and then add a spoon of the mixture. Follow the same procedure until your mixture is over. EXTRA TIP: Add a little salt if you want to prepare a meal with your crepes, or a little sugar if you want to prepare a dessert. You can make the crepes, let them on a plate about two hours, and then put a plastic film to each one, and freeze them. And you have crepes ready for a quick meal or a dessert.
Ingredients
4 eggs, 1 cup flour, 1/2 cup milk, 1/2 cup water, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 2 tablespoons melted butter for the mixture 10 tablespoons butter for the pan (about one for each crepe)
